An article has appeared in the on-line Issues & Insights by David Williams, the president of the Taxpayers Protection Alliance Foundation. It describes the difficulties he and his organization have had in acquiring information in regard to the finances involved in the US Post Office's acquisition of electric vehicles as replacements for worn out ICE equipment and the installation of equipment to charge them. An FOIA request was complied with but the requested information was redacted.

The badly named Inflation Reduction Act provided $3 billion to the USPS for this modernization, bringing the total to $6 billion for the project but USPS management refuses to provide any kind of a breakdown on how the taxpayer funds will be allocated.
