What Inflation Looks Like
The graph below (from the Bureau of Labor Statistics) shows the US city average of the retail price of a dozen Grade A eggs from January, 2002 (.96) to December, 2012 (1.96) in US dollars. In ten years the cost of eggs has more than doubled.
