ERA Aviation, a Fairbanks, AK based airline, has been forced to suspend service for a short but indefinite time while it upgrades its cockpit voice recorders to meet FAA requirements, according to
this story in the Fairbanks News-Miner. The mandate is meant as a safety feature, but the voice recorders are normally only used in the analysis of a crash, long after the dismembered bodies have been removed from the scene.
